Daily Rates
Includes:
Accommodation including meals and soft drinks as well as beer and wine. Services of licensed professional hunter, skinner, tracker, use of lodge staff. Field preparation of trophies. Licenses for the required trophies.
Extras:
Flight costs, Rifle hire per day and ammunition at cost price, All alcoholic beverages not mentioned above.
Packing, insurance and shipping of trophies, Rifle impartation permits and VIP services.
Staff tips, trophy fees on all animals killed, 15% VAT on wounded or lost animals, including baits.
South African VAT (TAX) of 15% on daily rates (no VAT charged on trophies).
Transfer to and from he airport to hunting areas.
Important Information:
Should you use a hired rifle in the hunting area you have to pay the fee for the entire day. Hunter & Observers come on safari on their own risk. Hunting Season is from February to December. All trophies wounded or lost will be charged as per this Trophy price list.
Road transfer days between hunting areas will be charged at the rate of a full hunting day. Minimum safaris hunt exists – 7 days or 14 days or 21 days. You decide for yourself how many days you would like to come.
Payment Terms & Booking Conditions:
You will receive a booking contract from us with all your requirements (arrival & departure dates/species required etc.) & daily rates quotation. Upon mutual agreement both parties will sign the contract and it will be sent back to the Black Buff Safaris office. To confirm your safari we require 50% deposit payment of your total daily rates as stated on your booking contract. Payment of your trophies, balance of daily rates, rifle hire and ammunition & staff tips payment must be arranged with us prior to your safari.

Cancellation:
If you cancel your safari:
• 6 months or more – 50% refund of deposit.
• Less than 6 months – re-book for following your or forfeit deposit.
We advise all clients to get travel cancellation insurance as well as Medical Evacution insurance.

Travel Information
Austrians, Swiss & Germans are not required to have a Visa to visit South Africa. Please take note the following important points:
1. Your passport must be valid for another 30days upon arrival.
2. You need at least 2 open/clean pages in your passport.
3. Your names & surname in your passport must be exactly the same as on your flight ticket, especially when you have more than one name.
Health Care
In South Africa we have excellent doctors & hospitals. Prior to your visit to South Africa we suggest you visit your doctor to ensure your health is n good condition. Also please bring your prescribed & chronic medications with you. Most of the hunting areas in South Africa is malaria free – but please check with us prior to your visit. You can have the following injections but it is not necessary just a precaution.

Time Difference
In winter there is 1 hour time difference between South Africa and Europe. In summer there is no time difference. Time zone in South Africa (GMT+2).

Currency:
In South Africa the currency used is Rand (ZAR) and is counted in 100 cents = R1 (one rand).
• Bank notes available are R10, R20, R50, R100 and R200. Pictures of the Big 5 appear on these bank notes.
• Coins available are 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, R1, R2 and R5.
• 1 USB = R18 (+/-) depending on the exchange rate – please enquire.
We suggest that you bring USD with in Cash. Credit Cards can be used in bigger towns but smaller towns & shops may not have credit card facilities. When you change money in our country please keep the receipt, otherwise you can not change back later. All credit cards are accepted by hotels and bigger shops. Smaller shops do not accept credit cards.
Electricity:
220/230 voltmeter /50Hz alternating current. It is good to have an adapter (Normally plugs with the English 3 holes). If necessary you can buy this at the airport.
Climate:
South Africa is situated south of the equator, latitude 22 and 34 degrees south and therefor it is in the area of subtropics. Therefor the seasons of the year might be different to your country. The temperatures are lower than in similar latitudes of many regions. For Europeans it is well tolerated. The time of sunshine during the day is the highest in the world. At the West Coast you have moderate temperatures because of the cold Benguela Ocean current. In the central Highland (Johannesburg is situated at about 1650 meter) the temperatures is normally not over 30 degrees Celsius. In winter the temperatures in the central highlands can sometimes fall below zero during nighttime and early moorings. In the region of the coast you still have warm maritime climate. You sometimes have rain in South Africa in summer, but not in the Western Cape region, here you have rain in the winter months (May – August).
