Preparation and Shipping of Trophies:

After your safari your trophies will be cleaned disinfected, dipped and packed ready for your delivery to the taxidermy of your choice. If you choose you can have your trophies processed in South Africa (mounts) and then sipped home.

Rifle Importation into South Africa:

Rifle importation into South Africa is really very simple (uncomplicated). But you need to follow these instructions:

– Firstly, ensure that the company you book your flight on allows rifles on their airplanes.
– Ensure that they know you will be having a rifle on the flight with you.

– Please unsure that you send us the following if you wish to apply for VIP Rifle Importation Services. We strongly suggest that you make use of this service @ 40 Euro. As you will be met when you disembark from your flight with a ready approved permit.
• Copy of your flight ticket
• Scanned copy of your Rifle Ownership Card/Document
• Scanned copy of your Passport
• Completed SAP520 document, which we will send to you via email

– Please ensure to have the following document with you upon arrival:
• Original flight ticket & a copy
• Original rifle ownership card & a copy
• Passport & a copy
• Invitation letter (we will send you this
• SAP520 Document

– Upon your arrival at the airport in South Africa, please firstly fetch tour luggage, please note your rifle will not be on the luggage band, it will be taken by officials to the South African Police Department.

– Upon arrival at the terminal, you will be met by someone holding a Black Buff Safaris board (Andre Botes). You will then be accompanied to the South African Police Department to get your rifle.

– When we get your personal details before you start the safari we have already filled in your entry document and have prepared everything. As our guest you only have to sign. (VIP service)

Rifle:

For the hunting of African Game species the minimum calibre required is a 7mm. We however suggest 300 min Mag, 375 H&H or other comparable calibers. Please ask us regarding your rifle and caliber upon booking as different species and different hunting areas might require different calibers. We also have the following rifles available for hire: 7 x 57 / 308 / 30-06 / 300 Win / 9.3 x 74R / 404 Jef

Ammunition:

We recommend high quality bonded bullets.

Liability & Indemnity

Black Buff Safaris will take every precaution to ensure that the well being of our clients is our top priority. However the company will accept no responsibility for any illness, accidents or loss whatsoever incurred during the safari or any expense arising form such illness, accident or loss. You will be required to sing an indemnity form upon arrival.

Distance from hunting area to the airport in Johannesburg:

Zone A = 0 – 150km @ 150 USD $

Zone B = 151 – 300km @ 260 USD $

Zone C = 301 – 500km @ 400 USD $

Zone D = 501 – 700km @ 520 USD $

Zone E = 701 – 1000km @ 720 USD $
